NextGEN Gallery Optimizer Now Discontinued

Due to the major breaking changes set to be introduced with the Gutenberg editor in WordPress v5.0, NextGEN Gallery Optimizer has now been discontinued.

Valid license holders for Optimizer Pro will continue to receive support if required, but the product has now been removed from sale, in preparation for the release.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's enjoyed using the plugin to optimize their sites over the last six and a half years, and wish you all the best for the future.

Kind regards,
Mark.

How to install NextGEN Gallery Optimizer Pro

If you haven't already, get yourself a copy of Optimizer Pro.

After your purchase, you'll automatically receive an email confirmation with a download link. If you don't receive this confirmation email, please contact us.

To install:
1. Download NextGEN Gallery Optimizer Pro to your computer
2. Log into your WordPress admin
3. Click Plugins --> Add New
4. Click Upload (in the header)
5. Search your computer for nextgen-gallery-optimizer-pro.zip
6. Click Install Now
7. Click Activate Plugin
8. Click Settings --> NextGEN Optimizer Pro to complete installation.

Note: If your computer automatically unzips your download, you'll need to compress it before you can upload it via the WordPress admin.
On Mac OSX: Ctrl+click the plugin folder --> Compress.
On Windows: Right-click the plugin folder --> Send To --> Compressed (zipped) Folder.

You can also upload Optimizer Pro via FTP, however letting WordPress handle the upload (as detailed above) is much easier, and avoids possible file ownership/permissions issues caused when your FTP user differs from the user your web server is being run as.

Note: If you're upgrading from Optimizer Basic, the Pro version will automatically deactivate the Basic version and you can safely delete it if you wish.
